Easter!

Oh how I loooove Easter! We had a great day! Would have been a great weekend but Sawyer got sick and kept us up 3 nights in a row. Its so sad when a child is sick. Thankfully he is getting better so he can see his little brother and sister when they arrive! Before I start into our Easter weekend I have to write about Monday and Tuesday.

Monday night we had my parents and Brandon's parents over for FHE. It was terrific. I had been having such a horrible day and panicking beyond belief most of the day so to have them over and to have a nice lesson was what I needed. Also, Brandon and I both were given blessings! The rest of the week went pretty well so I am pretty sure that my prayers were heard and answered!

Tuesday afternoon I had my 2 neighbors/friends over to do some Easter egg dying with our kids! It was so much fun! The kids got a kick out of it. My friends little girl's hands were green by the end! It was awesome! We had tasty snacks and then just let the kids play around for a while! Sawyer loved it! It was nice for me to get some adult time too!

The rest of the week I have just been trying to get things as ready as I can. Cleaning house, stocking up on some food, getting the babies bassinet, and I finally finished Taln's blankie! It took me forever to make. I sewed it 4 times and unpicked it 4 times. I finally noticed I had my stick on the wrong setting so it was causing the fabric to bunch. Duh me! Once I got that figured out it was slick!

It turned out pretty well. Its the minky fabric so its so dang soft! Can't wait to use it!Saturday we woke up early to take Sawyer to the Clearfield City Easter Egg hunt. It was ridiculous! We went to the 2 and under spot like we were suppose to and were so excited! Well, Sawyer ended up only getting 3 eggs. 3 eggs!! All the stupid parents went out and hogged all the eggs so it was really lame. And it was pretty dang cold. Luckily, Sawyer got a prize in his egg so he got a ball cause if he wouldn't have I would have thought it a total waste. After the Easter Egg hunt we went to Grandma Elaine's for another egg hunt, one that was actually fun for him and he got more than 3 eggs! We also did some more egg dying! It was fun and Sawyer loved finding the eggs! This morning Sawyer didn't even wake up until 10! I woke up at 9:30 and started getting his eggs and Easter basket ready. He woke up happy as usual and when we told him the Easter bunny had been there he got so excited. He was hysterical to watch find his eggs! He also loved his Easter basket with all the prizes! I have to say that holidays are soooo much better with kids! Its so exciting to see their little faces light up! I love it! It was a good way to spend Sawyer's last few days as the only child!

Updates

I seem to be falling behind the closer things get to the twins coming! So lets review the last week or so. Last week I was 35 weeks and the little boy weighed 5 pounds 11 ounces and the girl at 5 pounds 6 ounces! Our little boy is sure starting to take up all the room I'm thinking! My doctor told me that if I started having contractions every 5 minutes or my water breaks to get to the hospital. I was so thrilled to hear that cause I thought she might stop me until my actual 'due date'. So we've been trying everything to go into labor early. Has any of it worked?? Not remotely! No contractions other than Braxton Hicks. Lame. My babies just seem to love it in there. Sawyer was the same way. Little stinks! Guess its really a blessing though. They are going to be good sized! I am a little glad they haven't come though. I really don't want to miss Easter with Sawyer this year. I was horribly sick last year so I didn't get to watch him find Easter Eggs and that was so sad. I don't want to miss it this year. We are taking him on an Easter Egg hunt for Clearfield City this Saturday and I am so excited! Then we are doing some fun Easter stuff at my moms that day with Derik! Really want to be there so I will just wait the 6 more days. I can do it. Maybe not comfortably but I can do it!

We also had an interesting week with Sawyer. After we had put him down for the night, he started taking off his pajamas and his diaper and going poo-poo and pee-pee in on his floor! He did this for about a week. Then I sat him down and talked to him. Had a 'serious' conversation with him that that was NOT acceptable. He hasn't done it since thankfully! We had tried puttin him on the potty before he went to bed and tried to see if he wanted to be potty trained. Nope he doesn't! Oh well. I am not going to push him.

He's been saying "I luff you" all the time now too! Its adorable! He will lay on my tummy and just look up at me and say "I luff you mommy". Brings me to tears just about every time! When people ask him "who's in mommy's tummy?" He always replies with "Our babies!" I am so hoping and praying that he won't become horribly jealous. I hope Brandon and I are able to give him the attention that he needs even though we are going to be super busy. That is something that keeps me up at night. I don't want him to feel resentful towards the babies. We are getting him a 'Big Brother Present' from the twins so hopefully that will kind of make him excited about having siblings! We were thinking of getting him some musical instruments but the more I think about it the more the it sounds like the worst idea ever! I won't want him to play it upstairs cause I will want it to be kind of quiet when the babies are sleeping so he will probably just resent them. So we are probably going to go with some Thomas The Train stuff! Can't go wrong with Thomas! Then he can play with that while I am with the babies! Much better idea! We are also thinking about getting a small swing set! That would be nice so I can get him outside during the summer while the babies are sleeping and still have some fun but be at home with the babies. Hopefully we can find something decent and fun.

I am pretty much ready for the hospital. I was able to get going home outfits and a big brother shirt for Sawyer last week!

It wasn't exactly what I wanted but I think they will still be adorable! I can't wait to see how those outfits look on the babies! They are soooo tiny! Its going to be crazy to hold a baby that small again! Sawyer is going to look and feel like a giant once they come! There are still quite a few things I need to get done before they come. I am going to try to get a lot of it done today! I went and picked up their baby books which were ridiculously expensive ($15 a piece!! But they are adorable!). I am really mad at Davis hospital and myself for not getting Sawyer's foot prints when he was born but am bound and determined to get both of theirs. Seriously, I hate myself for not getting Sawyer's. My mom and I tried to get his by doing one of those clay footprint kit things.... didn't work so well. I still have it but every time we tried to do it he would grip the clay with his tosies or his hand so it didn't come out real well. Its all I have though. I can't wait for these little ones to come! Things are going to be insane but so much fun too!

I Sew?!

Well I haven't sewn anything since my senior year in High School! Then my friend Camie and I decided we wanted to try making Car Seat Canopies since we are both having babies! Once I got the hang of a sewing machine again I didn't do too bad. I also made my lil girl a minky blanket (thanks to Camie for the fabric!). Looks like this... So adorable and sooooo soft! I showed Sawyer and he LOVED the feel of it and kept kind of sneaking it. I was very hesitant about making both the lil boy and Sawyer a blankie just cause the fabric is sooooo expensive. Seriously, its sick. I decided to make him and our lil boy one anyway since Brandon oked it. Just haven't finished those yet but once I do I will post those as well! Here are my Car Seat Canopies:

My lil boys...

My lil girls....

I have become obsessed with sewing! lol I actually enjoy it! Never thought I'ds say that!

Feelin The Love

I went out with my wardies a few weeks ago and they gave me the most adorable outfits for our lil' boy and girl! Can you say "Freaking Adorable"!!!!!! My kids are going to be soooo dang cute and I'm not being bias at all! ;0)

Today, I got this wonderful present....

Its a nursing pillow designed for twins!! It comes with the pillow that wraps around you (made out of the ever so delicious minky faberic), a back support pillow, and a nursing cover that is actually attached to the pillow! Awesomeness. Pure awesomeness! Special thanks to my wonderful sista Nikki for this wonderful present! Love you Nik!

I went in for my weekly stress test today and everything was normal! Babies look great and my contractions aren't worrying the doctor at all (little disappointed in that) so I guess we are still 20 days away. I THINK I can make it. Its gettin tough though I tell you what! Whew.

Here is my belly. The pic sucks cause I took it myself but it'll do!

I'm HUGE! And I'm ready! lol

House Projects

Brandon has been working so hard on our house to get ready for the babies. He redid the twins closet so now there is a ton more functional space. More places to hang clothes and cubbies to hold supplies! I looooove it! He did an awesome job! I wasn't able to get a before pic but it was just one row of hanging space with a little storage above it. Now it looks like this....

This isn't the greatest photo unfortunately. I asked Brandon to take one and this is what I got! lol This is HALF the closet. The girls half. The other side is the same and as you can tell its got the cubbies in the center, the storage on top, and what you can't see to the right is there are 4 more storage shelves!! So much more functional!!!!! He did this all by himself and he did an amazing job! We are going to do the same thing to Sawyer's but we will do that a little later.

Our front bay window has given us trouble since we moved in. The window leaked so it ruined the drywall around it and even molded the wood framing. Brandon and his dad took that out, cleaned up the wood, put new drywall in, and repainted! It looks perfect! They did such a great job! Here are some photos of that...

The above picture is the mold we found on the wood. Ewww!

The finished product! Looks perfect right?! (Don't mind the weights they were to hold down the new window seal until it was dried).

Our shower is completely fixed and has been for a while. We also got a new shower head with 2 big shower heads and one you can pull down and use and Sawyer LOVES it! He's so cute he loves showers now! Its an awesome shower head! Now we just need to get the twins room completely organized and cleaned up and set up the crib, go through all of our baby things (swings, bouncers, etc) and get rid of what we will use and what we won't, and get our guest bedroom cleaned, organized, and ready for occupancy! Hopefully, Brandon can get that done within the next 3 weeks cause that's all the time we have!
