I spent $5 on a little baby pool at Walmart and it was the best $5 ever spent! Sawyer LOVES it! He plays in it 3Xs a day at least! Here are some cute fotos!

Fun Filled Weekend

On the 24th we celebrated by having a BBQ with my mom and she bought some fireworks we could light for Sawyer. He LOVED them! Here are some pics.....

Saturday, we had our first open water dive for Scuba. We went to the Crater up in Heber and it was so neat! The water was 97 degrees which was kinda hard to swim in for that long {too hot} but it was still awesome! Our instructor took us down to the very bottom of the crater {which we weren't suppose to be able to do!!!} and we felt how hot the crater floor was! It felt like it was probably a good 110 degrees! Kinda scary, cause then you start to think.... What's really under there making it this warm?! Liquid Hot Magma perhaps?! lol We have our last dive on Monday which will be fun other than the 97 degree water temperature.

Yoga Anyone?

I just got done doing the P90X Yoga. OMG! I haven't stretched my body like that in years! It felt wonderful but at the same time it was torture! No wonder Madonna looks so great! She does 4 hours of Yoga a day! That's a little overkill if you ask me. I am pretty sure I am going to be hating myself the next few days. It was worth it tho. I feel good right now!

Good Book

I finished reading Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins last night and LOVED it! I've heard a lot of people talk about it and wasn't too interested in reading cause of all they hype. Kelly convinced me to read it and I'm hooked! I can't wait for the next book to come out its called CASTING FIRE. Sounds good huh?! Here's a brief overview of Hunger Games.....

I really liked this book and suggest it to anyone who is looking to start a new book!

Star Pupil

We had our final written test last night for Scuba. Brandon missed one problem and I missed 5. Not terrible. We both passed! When I was going over my test with our instructor he said to me "Not to give you a big head or anything, but you're my Star Pupil in the water!" I pretty much already knew that Brandon and I were the favorites but it was nice to hear!! I like being the favorite! hehehehe

So Happy!

I am so happy to be able to stay at home with my son! Words can't even describe! I'm so thankful that my husband wanted me to stay at home and has helped me reach my goal of staying home. I am so thankful that I am able to help with my grandma. Its taken a lot of burden off my mom's shoulders. My grandma has been happier these past few weeks and I think its cause of the baby! She loves having Sawyer around. Plus, she eats now that I'm here with her too! I'm sure that helps her mood a bit too!
Sawyer is doing wonderful! He's getting over his cold {hooray} and he even has a new tooth! This makes 7! What a mouthful! I can't believe that he will be a year old in just 2 months! Its nuts! I can't wait tho. He is such a little stink. He is getting into everything he can! He is learning so much everyday. He says Momma, Dadda, and up which is the cutest thing ever! He gives bonkers {learned from Papa Max} and gives 5's. He absolutely LOVES his blankie, his book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and playing in water! He's such a good baby. We've been so blessed since he came into our lives. I'm so grateful I can be home with him. I can't say it enough!
Brandon and I have been doing a Scuba diving class for the past 5 weeks {school credits}. We take our final today {bit nervous} but it has been so much fun! I love water! If I could, I'd stay underwater forever! I've always been a fish! Water feels like a 2ND home to me! I think Sawyer got this from me! After today's final, we have 2 open water dives. We get to go up to Heber and see the crater! I can't wait! It'll be awesome to see and to experience 40 ft of water! We've only been to 12 ft so I'm sure 40ft will be a bit different. I'm excited tho!
I'm so thrilled, our garden is starting to produce vegetables now! There is something so wonderful about having your own garden! When I do my daily check, the aroma of veggies is almost mouthwatering! I can't wait to start picking our yummy veggies! Nothing like fresh vegetables!

I Am Such A Blonde!

I've been sick the last few days and haven't felt like making dinner so my sweet husband asked if I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich. Sounded delightful so I said yes. I was sitting at the table and he came and offered me a piece of cheese. I said "I cant have cheese cause I'm sick. Dairy makes you have more mucus when you are sick." He replied with "Then why am I making you a GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH?" Uh-duh! Wow. I couldn't believe what a dork I was. I blame it on the sickness and lack of sleep!! lol

Another Bump In The Road

My dad just found out that he now has liver cancer. This news was a pretty disheartening since he has been doing so well since his cancer experience last July. He will have to do a different kind of chemo that will hopefully not make him as sick as the last one did which is a huge relief. This will be another bump in the road and emotional roller coaster for my family. At this time I beg for your prayers. Please..... PLEASE keep him in your prayers!!!

Momma's Poor Sick Baby

There is nothing more sad than having a sick baby. Friday night Sawyer woke up screaming bloody murder. I tried to console him but he kept screaming, arching his back like he was in horrific pain, and wiggling like crazy. After a while he fell asleep on me but would wake up a half hour later doing the same thing. This went on all night. Long night for everyone. The next morning he had a little bit of a stuffed nose but acted just fine. I took him shopping and went to a movie. He would not hold still for a second during the movie, kept screaming, and would not calm down. I knew he was so tired but he just wouldn't give up. I ended up having to leave the movie early which sucked cause that meant my brother had to leave before he watched the end. Sorry Der. We ended going to my mom's house cause I was going to dye Derik's hair for him so my mom was going to watch look after Sawyer. When we got there I realized he was totally burning up. I ran to Smiths to grab him some Ibuprofen to help with his fever. He was acting so tired and sick that it really made me worry. I called Brandon and we took him into Wee Care. He HATES the doctor! Something always goes wrong when we take him in. This time was no exception. The dr. took his temperature which was high, then did the normal checking of his lungs/heart, throat, and ears. Poor kid had a ton of ear wax so I had to hold him down while the dr scrapped it out. He was screaming so much. Its so hard to have to force him to hold still when you know he's hurting. Breaks your heart. Once the wax was gone, the dr said he was beginning to get 2 ear infections. This is his first time getting an ear infection. 10 months old.... not bad. The dr also said his throat looked real red. Poor baby. The dr wanted to do an influenza test on him just to make sure he didn't have the swine flu. I was so thankful they did it. It came back negative thank goodness. They offered to give him some Tylenol so the nurse was trying to force it down his throat {which is bad to do cause he has a strong gag reflex} and he ended up throwing it up all over him and a little on me. I was kinda ticked. If they would have just let ME give it to him that wouldn't have happened. I wanted to smack the nurse. You gotta be gentle. He's only a baby!! Momma bear rears her ugly head!! lol Yesterday, him and I basically slept most the day. I could tell that I was going to come down with the same thing and when I woke up this morning.... Ta da. I caught it. It's not as bad as his but I think it will be soon. Never fails. I always catch what he gets. I'd rather have it than him though. If I could take all the pain away from him I would do it in a heart beat. Its hard to have a sick baby since they can't tell you what's wrong. The guessing game is always rough. I just hope he gets better within the next few days. Its been sad to watch him so miserable.

Catchin Up.

I'm still trying to play catch up since I haven't posted about the 4th of July. To start, Brandon's birthday wasn't much of a birthday for him. He had to work then we had class from 6-10 so he didn't get to really celebrate. I woke up at 6:30 am to make him breakfast and I made him his favorite meal Roma Rice, and also made him a carrott cake. I really did try to make things a little special which is all I could do. He got a new computer for his brithday tho! Spoiled! lol Next year will be better honey! Promise!

So on to the weekend of the 4th. We headed up to the cabin Friday morning and just played around all day. Saturday morning {the 4th} Brandon, Bryan, Janet, Danielle, Zack, Ashlie, and I headed into Evanston to do a 5K race! This was my first race and I did ok. Not as good as I was hoping to do but I made it and that's all that mattered! I even got a ribbon! lol 5th place, Yessss! Of course that 5th place only meant in my age division.....5 out of 5! lol Brandon got 6th place in his division. Woo hoo! Bryan KILLED all of us. He did the race in like 26 minutes or something. WOW! It was really fun tho. I enjoyed it.

Later that day, we decided to go on a 'short' ride. What we thought was going to be an hour to an hour and a half ride turned into a 4 hour ride. I even had Sawyer on that ride for that long. Too long for a baby! We also had a few inexperienced riders plus a hard trail so that slowed us way down too. I was glad when it was over. It was still fun just a little long! After the 'short' ride we all decided to go into Evanston for fireworks. HOLY CRAP! Evanston is THE PLACE for fireworks! The entire city was lit up! It was amazing! The best firework display I've ever seen! I think we've found our new 4th of July tradition!!

Wedensday, the new Harry Potter opened at midnight! Brandon and I have been to every opening of the Harry Potters and its become our tradition. We went with Tia and Derik. We bought some energy drinks and loads of candy to help keep us up. I was pretty dang sick the next day cause of caffeene and sugar overload! It was worth it tho! We had a blast!

We didn't get home until 3:30 am! What a night! It was so much fun tho!

Last Day of Work

My last day of work was great! I felt like I did nothing but play around! Ok, I actuall worked for the first few hours but after that I just played! hehe In the morning I got things ready for interviews, did my last inspection on my building, then my supervisor and I went on our last Diet Coke run. Sad. One of my guys who is now retired came and brought all the stuff to make the dutch-oven meal. I helped with the chicken and veggies then helped taste the scones to make sure they were safe to eat. Man they were delicious! I love scones! We ate at noon and then the guys gave me two {2} huge maple donuts! I am a sucker for maple donuts! Mmmmmm. They also gave me a gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond. How sweet are they?! They are great! We all B.S'ed for a while and I got some great pictures.

It was harding saying goodbye but I am LOVING being at home with my baby boy! There is nothing better than walking into his room and seeing his bright smile staring back at me!

Bittersweet Day

Today is my last day working at the Matheson Courthouse. I am so excited cause I will be able to stay at home with my adorable baby boy who is growing so fast but I am also very sad. I will miss all the guys I work with. They are such great guys and they have always treated me so well. Actually, they've always pretty much spoiled the crap out of me!! Just about anything I wanted they got it for me! They are the best bunch of guys ever and I am going to miss them all so much.
