Fishing Fun

There is this awesome little pond that is stocked with fish in Syracuse that we went fishing at last night. My mom kept catching fish after fish it was pretty nuts. Sawyer didnt love the fish once they were on the poles and flipping about. He stayed pretty far away from them. Hopefully next year he will have more fun and reel them in! I didn't do any fishing. I just watched and watched the baby. It was nice.

Peter Cetera Concert

I forgot to put up pics of the zoo and the Peter Cetera concert I went to! Friday, the day after Sawyer's birthday Brandon and I decided we'd take him to the zoo. It was lots of fun and there were hardly any people there which was so nice!

Later that night I went to see Peter Cetera with my mom, Steven, and Kelly! My mom won tickets to see him on the radio. I swear this woman wins once a month. its nuts! The show was great as long as he was singing. When he tried to talk to the crowd I seriously wanted to throw something at him. He was annoying. Love his music but he is kind of a Dbag. We sat at the very back so if we wanted to see we had to stand up. I took some pics of him but you can't really tell its him. OH had the night was freezing so I wore a SNUGGLIE! Oh yeah baby!

Blessing of Comfort

Last night I was given a blessing by Brandon and his dad. I felt that I needed one of comfort. I've felt kind of stressed lately so thought a blessing would help easy me a bit. The blessing was great as it always is. Thank goodness my husband is worth of the Priesthood! Its been a huge blessing in my life.

This morning comes around and we said our morning prayers. Once I am finished he tells me that he felt inspired to say "you will have the understanding of what's to come" but didn't say it in my blessing for fear it meant something bad was going to happen. Uh, yeah that kinda scared me a little. But I do know that everything happens for a reason. If something does go a different way then what I want I will know that its in the Lords hands and things will always work out for the best. They usually do! Just kinda hard to accept it at first!

Sawyer's 2 Year Stats

Had Sawyer's 2 year well check up and he is getting so dang big!

Weight:27 lbs = 40th Percentile

Height:35.5 inches = 80th Percentile

I have to say I am so thrilled that his weight has improved so much. Just 6 months ago he was in the 10th percentile. I was afraid he was going to have to have surgery that would make it so he would no longer be able to vomit. EVER. Yes, it may sound like a good thing but it would be horrible on his body. We vomit for a reason and to not ever be able to??? What would happen? I am horrified to even think about it. Thankfully our prayers were answered. We went to see my mother-in-law's brother-in-law who is a chiropractor and he was able to give me some total biotics and chewable enzymes that have improved his reflux and in turn made him much healthier!! I am so grateful he was able to help us and that the Lord truly heard our prayers. He still has the reflux but we are able to manage it so much better now! So grateful!! Words can't begin to explain!

The Rainbow Birthday Cake

This cake was so much fun to make! It wasn't as hard as I was expecting it to be either (thankfully). It was so bright and colorful it just put a smile on your face with every bite you took! Finally, I feel a tiny bit accomplished in something I have done! Woot!

Labor Day Happenings

We headed up to the cabin... again! What can I say we love it up there! I was able to finish 2 books while we were up there. I had started a book called Divine by Choice but the dang book fell apart while I was right in the middle of it. Just fell apart literally. That put a little stress on my reading. How do you read a book that is falling apart? It was a little too difficult obviously cause I started Eat Pray Love. It was coming out in theaters so I decided I really wanted to read it before I saw it. Well, that didn't happen. I went and saw it with my mom and mother-in-law last week and I hadn't finished the book. I wasn't so sure I loved the book until I saw the movie. Book was way better. I know they always are but I was really hoping for more from the movie. Anywho, I brought Eat. Pray. Love to the cabin and thankfully all us girls got to spend lots of time reading!

I finished Eat. Pray. Love. and thankfully brought up Divine By Choice. I finished both! Woot! I have 4 books stacked on my nightstand right now that I am ready to dive into.... one of them! I need to start saying no to people when they tell me about new books I 'gotta' read. I need to start finding more time to read too.... sigh. Eventually.

So basically the cabin was great! Spent time with family did some eating, reading, sleeping, riding, and relaxing! What could be better?!

Sawyer did get hurt this trip. Not terribly but his face is pretty banged up. He was out watching the fire with his gampa and his cousin Kylee and decided it would be a good idea to try to run in the dark.... with big rocks under his feet. Didn't turn out so well. He's got some nice cuts all over hims poor boy face. It was sadness hearing him come screaming. He's ok though. He's a tough kid!
