Kid Funnies

Sawyer: I just bought some beautiful new high heels. One pair of black glitter heels and the other is some hot leopard print heels. Brandon and I were in the living room and here comes Sawyer walking in one of each heel and says "I'm a beautiful snow angel!" Brandon and I busted up laughing. He looked down kind shyly, stepped out of my shoes, and said "I mean I'm a snow monster!"  Now that's funny right there!

Taln: This kid LOOOVES his food. I mean loves it. I was sick this week so Brandon made me some chicken noodle soup from scratch (it always cures anything you have no joke) and I decided to blend it up and feed it to the babies. Taln ate a huge HUGE bowl full. After every bite he would do a smacking sound with his tongue and go "mmmmmmm" till i put more in his mouth. His tongue smacking is so hysterical!

Harper: The other night she wouldn't go to sleep for the life of me. I tried feeding her, rocking, singing, you name it. Finally, I just laid her in our bed and laid by her. She kept looking up at Brandon and then would shake her head as if she were saying "no". So i looked at her and mimiced her and she kept doing it back. It was so stinkin cute! We call it "crazy baby"! Whenever we shake our head she smiles and shakes her head back! I love it!

Today is the 1st day of 2012. I can't believe it. I can't believe I am a mother to three beautiful healthy happy kids. I am absolutely in love with each and everyone of them. They are so different and I love their differences! They are so special. I am so glad to have such a wonderful husband. He works so hard to provide for our family and make it possible for me to stay home with our kids. I am so glad he is my hubby! I love him as much today as I did the day we got married! Couldn't be a better man out there for me! He's amazing! Has to be to deal with me! lol
This years resolutions aren't very different than my usual ones. I really just want to strive to be an all around better woman, mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister, and human. There are always things to work on! I am grateful for my family and friends. I hope this year brings many wonderful happy memories and experiences. Here's to 2012!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Feelin The Love

I went out with my wardies a few weeks ago and they gave me the most adorable outfits for our lil' boy and girl! Can you say "Freaking Adorable"!!!!!! My kids are going to be soooo dang cute and I'm not being bias at all! ;0)

Today, I got this wonderful present....

Its a nursing pillow designed for twins!! It comes with the pillow that wraps around you (made out of the ever so delicious minky faberic), a back support pillow, and a nursing cover that is actually attached to the pillow! Awesomeness. Pure awesomeness! Special thanks to my wonderful sista Nikki for this wonderful present! Love you Nik!

I went in for my weekly stress test today and everything was normal! Babies look great and my contractions aren't worrying the doctor at all (little disappointed in that) so I guess we are still 20 days away. I THINK I can make it. Its gettin tough though I tell you what! Whew.

Here is my belly. The pic sucks cause I took it myself but it'll do!

I'm HUGE! And I'm ready! lol

#3

Last week was yet another difficult week for my family. We lost our beloved grandpa Keith Passey. He had had a heart attack back in January but seemed to recover pretty well. Last Sunday we was in the middle of Gospel Doctrine class, in the middle of a sentence and went into cardiac arrest. Thankfully he was around so many people because they were able to give him chest compressions and mouth to mouth and saved his life. Even one of my friends husbands did chest compressions to help. They took him to the hospital and he was doing ok. They wanted to do an angioplasty on Monday but his blood was too thin so they scheduled it for Tuesday at 8am.

When Tuesday rolled around his nurse came in and he acted like his usual self. Talking, laughing, making jokes. Everything seemed normal. The nurse walked out of the room and as soon as she did his monitors started blaring. They tried to resuscitate him but it didn't work. This time it was his time to return home. My mom called me around 8:30am and told me the news. I told her I would meet her at the hospital. I had to prepare myself mentally for going over there. This is 3 deaths for my family in 15 months. 2 in less than 2 months. The last 2 have been my mom's parents (her mom and her father-in-law). I knew she was going to need me. When we arrived at the hospital I hugged her and we walked back to his room. His wife Elizabeth, sons Steven (my step- father) and Darelle were already there. I had a very difficult time looking at Keith. He didn't look like himself laying on that hospital bed. I wanted so badly for him to sit up and start joking or tell me its been ages since he's seen me and hug me like he always did. He would always tell me how beautiful I looked even though I would really look horrible. Even after all the deaths I have been through lately.... it doesn't get any easier. I almost feel numb. I don't know how to react anymore. The loss of even my dad still seems so fresh and now I have had to deal with 2 other loved ones. I really pray that we don't have anymore deaths anytime soon. I just don't know if my family can bare much more.

His service was absolutely lovely. He got a military graveside service which was beautiful to see. Here are a few snap shots I got at the grave

Grandpa Keith Passey you will be missed. Until we meet again.....

I finally uploaded the pictures of my camera and there are some from Valentine's Day! Here are some cute ones I got...

We had a fun time!

Last weekend we headed up to the cabin and I brought along my mom and step-dad. I wasn't able to do much other than sit inside and read, eat, sleep, etc but my parents went on rides with Brandon and his parents and they had some fun. My mom did get a little lost one of the rides which was probably pretty traumatic but she said she still had fun. That's all that matters. Here are some cute pics from there fun ride...

Even though I wasn't able to do much it was still nice to get away and relax a bit.

Yesterday, I had my 28 week appointment and things are going well still. I still have about 20 more lbs before I get to my weight I was with Sawyer. I am hoping to not reach those 20lbs but these last few months are when the babies start packing on their weight so we'll see. The boy weighs a little over 2 1/2 pounds while the girl is just under 2 1/2 pounds. They have moved once again. Last appointment they were head down and now the girls head is on my left side and the boys head is on my right. Weird. I don't know how they still have that much room to move around. Boggles my mind. I have been having a few problems lately though. I have been getting varicose veins on my legs which are making my legs throb plus they are swelling. I told my doctor about those problems and she recommended compression socks. I tried them for the first time this morning and they are SO DANG TIGHT! I got the thigh highs and they took me about 10 minutes no joke struggling to get them on! It was nuts! I did get them on and so far they have made my legs feel better. I can deal with the feeling my legs are being suffocated for the next 2 months as longs as they don't throb like they were! I asked my doctor when we discuss the c-section date and she said that I will go in to see here in 3 weeks and we will pick the date then. I freaked out a little!! In 3 weeks I will know the birth date of my twins! That is just insane to me! I went home and told Brandon we need to get Sawyer moved in to his room this weekend and we need to put the babies cribs up and get EVERYTHING done! lol Today, I was washing walls, doors, and baseboards. I am either nesting or just freaking out! I just want to be as ready as I possibly can be..... Heaven help us!

Sawyer has been so stinking funny lately! So I have given up on potty training him but I have got him trained to bring me in a diaper when he wakes up! Yes, I really wish he was potty trained but at least he brings me his diapers! The other day he came into my room and asked me if I saw the monsters. I told him I hadn't seen them and asked him where he saw them. He said "Outside." Me: "Were they nice monsters or mean monsters?" Him: "Nice monsters." Oh good! Thankfully they were nice monsters! Some of the stuff they say is hysterical! He is adorable!

Love Day

What a wonderful Valentine's Day we had! I spent the morning kinda cleaning house, took Sawyer to the park, then went home to make a nice Vday dinner. I made some nummy chicken, baked potatoes, salad, green beans, and corn bread. Turned out pretty good. Brandon brought me home a huge beautiful bouquet of flowers! We said no gifts but he did anyway. Little stinker! After dinner we went to Boondocks and bowled for a while. By the end of our games we were exhausted! Sawyer had us running everywhere! He has sooo much energy! We were going to let him play in the Kiddie Cove but he was exhausted too so we decided to just go home. He fell asleep in the car so we were able to just put him in bed. It was only 8:30! Brandon and I got to spend the rest of the night just being together! It was amazing! So nice to just relax and be just the two of us. Brandon even gave me a foot rub! Is there any better gift?! lol We had a wonderful time! Sawyer didn't wake up the next morning until 9am! Can't complain about that! :)

A Lil Charity

Each year my family and I aways say we need to do some sort of charity for Christmas since that is a great part of Christmas but we have never done it until this year! I decided to rally us together and the end result was fantastic I think! I decided that since my brother has volunteered for the Utah Aids Foundation that that would be a great place to do some charity. I got on their website and found that you could donate money, adopt a family, make necessity stockings, or food baskets so I put feelers out and we decided to adopt 2 families, do a food basket or 2, and do some necessity baskets!

We met at my mom's on a Thursday afternoon and brought with us some bathroom necessities that we already had at our home that we had extras of such as: shampoo, tooth paste, tooth brushes, body wash, soap, etc. We didn't have tons so we went to All A Dollar (don't dis cause we were able to get loads of things for little which meant more stuff for others!).

What adopting a family is is a family puts what they need/want most on a card and people get those items for them. For example, one of our families had never had any sort of baking things. No cookie sheets, baking pans, measuring spoons, cups etc so that's what we bought! Then we went a little further and got them stuff to make with their new bake ware like sugar cookies with sprinkles, cupcake mix, cake mixes, cooking spray etc.

Our other family needed some sheets and an alarm clock. Derik was in charge of the sheets and man he bought the really nice like 500+ count sheets! What a lil giver he is! lol We added a few extra things in their basket as well.

Since we were able to get a lot of items at All a Dollar we were able to make quite a few little necessity baskets! We also made a random basket too that had soup, detergent, toilet paper, paper towels and a few other randoms thrown in. Then my brother has a good friend who travels a lot for his business and he always bring home the shampoos, conditioners, lotions, mouthwashes etc. He donated those to us so I made little necessity bags that were just simple but nice. These weren't the crappy kinds of shampoos either. They were nice stuff!! We didn't end up getting done until 11pm. I was beat! It was so much fun though and we felt great after we did it! When my mom and Derik brought all the baskets to the UAF, they were all so excited to see all the stuff we made. Wish I could have been there just to see their faces. Still knowing we helped others has made a great impact on this Christmas Season for me!

Although we all didn't have tons and tons of money to spend we did what we could to help out others. My sister wasn't able to join us for the packaging in person but she was there in spirit and she made a wonderful donation to help us bring some comfort to those in need! I think this will become a Christmas tradition! Helping others.... is there a better tradition?!

Grateful

Today, I am so grateful for Brandon and Sawyer. I have never loved two people more than them. I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband. I am so blessed to have him as my eternal companion. I love you Brandon!!
Today, I my heart has been tender. Probably the result of yesterday but Sawyer has been giving me hugs like crazy today! I have sure needed and loved it so much! He is getting so big and is getting so good as putting both those little arms around my neck and just squeezing all my problems, fears, hurt, sadness, and sorrow away! I love his hugs. I can't express just how much I love them! I love him like crazy!
We took some cute family pictures last weekend and I thought I would share some...
