Crawling & Disneyland

Its been a while again. Oops. I get a little busy which sucks cause it seems like everyday something new and exciting happens with my kids! Its so fun!

As of yesterday, Harper is crawling! She is almost 10 months but she did it! She skipped right over doing the army crawl and went straight to all 4s! I think she thought crawling on her belly was beneath her.... ! lol I kill myself. Its going to be very interesting having 2 little crawlers and a 3 year old to chase around now. Going to be getting my exercise that's for sure!
We took Sawyer to Disneyland over Valentine's Day and we had a blast! He was so good and had such a great time. I think the one on one with just mommy and daddy was really good for him. I'm pretty sure he didn't want to come back to his siblings after that and share time again. We drove down and once we got to our hotel we went and did some swimming then went to get food. The next morning we headed to Disneyland!

He kept right up with us until we put him in this stroller to head back to the car. 5 minutes TOPS and he was zonked! We were able to get this trip planned in about 2 days and it turned out great! We were there for 4 days. I was away from my babies for 4 whole days. It was tough. Thankfully we were able to stay busy enough that I wasn't able to sit and think about how much I missed them or else I would have not been too much fun to have around. I was really thankful to have this opportunity to take Sawyer though. Thank goodness I have such a great husband! And his friend let us stay in his hotel with him which saved us a boat load too. Thanks Eric!

Getting Creative

So I am a sucker for pintrest! I absolutely think its one of the best things on the internet right now! I've gotten so many awesome ideas from it. I made 3 tutus for Harper...

 

Then I found how to make bath tub paints at home! You use shaving cream and food coloring! Brilliant and cheap! The consistancy is way better then regular paint too!

 Found these how to make your own tracing patterns! I've been having Sawyer trace his ABC's as well as his name!

Him and I also made our own homemade Lava lamp out of oil, water, food coloring, and Alke selser! He loved it!

Tonight, we made a mini volcano! We had baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring! Sawyer Loooooved doing that and what a great way to incorporate some science! I HEART PINTREST! HUGE FAN!!

Kid Funnies

Sawyer: I just bought some beautiful new high heels. One pair of black glitter heels and the other is some hot leopard print heels. Brandon and I were in the living room and here comes Sawyer walking in one of each heel and says "I'm a beautiful snow angel!" Brandon and I busted up laughing. He looked down kind shyly, stepped out of my shoes, and said "I mean I'm a snow monster!"  Now that's funny right there!

Taln: This kid LOOOVES his food. I mean loves it. I was sick this week so Brandon made me some chicken noodle soup from scratch (it always cures anything you have no joke) and I decided to blend it up and feed it to the babies. Taln ate a huge HUGE bowl full. After every bite he would do a smacking sound with his tongue and go "mmmmmmm" till i put more in his mouth. His tongue smacking is so hysterical!

Harper: The other night she wouldn't go to sleep for the life of me. I tried feeding her, rocking, singing, you name it. Finally, I just laid her in our bed and laid by her. She kept looking up at Brandon and then would shake her head as if she were saying "no". So i looked at her and mimiced her and she kept doing it back. It was so stinkin cute! We call it "crazy baby"! Whenever we shake our head she smiles and shakes her head back! I love it!

Today is the 1st day of 2012. I can't believe it. I can't believe I am a mother to three beautiful healthy happy kids. I am absolutely in love with each and everyone of them. They are so different and I love their differences! They are so special. I am so glad to have such a wonderful husband. He works so hard to provide for our family and make it possible for me to stay home with our kids. I am so glad he is my hubby! I love him as much today as I did the day we got married! Couldn't be a better man out there for me! He's amazing! Has to be to deal with me! lol
This years resolutions aren't very different than my usual ones. I really just want to strive to be an all around better woman, mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister, and human. There are always things to work on! I am grateful for my family and friends. I hope this year brings many wonderful happy memories and experiences. Here's to 2012!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Toilet Troubles

We have been having quite a few issues with our toilet lately and its all because of an adorable little 3 year old! Sawyer is getting to that point where he doesn't like it when people are in the bathroom while he goes potty and he uses the big potty so I left him alone for a bit and when I went into check on him again, he had the roll of toilet paper in his hand. I was wondering how he had gotten it off the holder and asked him where the holder was. He looked down and pointed to the toilet. I thought there was no way that it could have been flushed down the toilet so I asked him again. He told me again it went down the toilet. I was shocked! Never would have guessed that the toilet paper holder would have been able to be flushed down our toilet with out clogging it immediately but sure enough... Now Brandon is stuck trying to fix the dang thing. Poor Brandon didn't even get off work until close to 7pm tonight and first thing he has to do is fix our over flowing toilet. Thank goodness he is such a good handy man and hubby! I have 2 other kids that I can't wait to see what they do to my toilet (<-----sarcasm)!
My mom says this is payback. When I was young my mom made us eat everything. Waste not. Well I took an apple and didn't want to finish it, so instead of being lectured by her, I went in the bathroom and flushed it! Didn't work out so well. Instead of just being lectured, I was lectured plus grounded! Payback is a beast right?! If Sawyer wasn't so dang cute I'd have to beat him!
