Here is our little sick story of what Sawyer drank on Monday.... It was a perfect beautiful day outside. It was hot enough I thought I would break out Sawyer's little pool from last year and let him splash around in it. I put warm house water in it and he loved playing in his pool. He had already had a fairly large poop that morning so I thought I was safe to take off his diaper and let him play in the nude. Again he LOVED splashing around especially in the nude. Now, he has this bad habit of drinking the water in his bath tub (EW I know) and of course he did the same thing with his pool water. I kept trying to keep him from doing it but he just kept drinking from his pool. He put rocks in his pool, grass, and even a potato bug. After a few hours of him playing, I noticed his pool had turned kinda dark.... kinda brownish. I noticed him drinking it again so I ran over and pulled him out and once he was out up floated some little brown 'logs'. He'd been drinking water in his pool that had poop in it!!! Oh yeah, I wigged out! I dumped out the water in his pool and ran him into the shower. I scrubbed him twice. Then I called Wee Care to ask what I should do about it. Thankfully they said that since he was up on all his shots he should be ok but if he started having tummy issues (diarrhea, vomiting, etc) then to bring him in. Thankfully he hasn't had any issues that I have noticed. Next time we play in the pool he will be wearing a diaper the whole time! lol
On another subject, Brandon and I went out on a date and we saw "Date Night"
Oh my goodness I loved it! I was laughing so dang hard tears were streaming down my face! Loved it!
Brandon and I also signed up for a co-ed softball team. Scary! lol I am not a great player and I get so nervous when I am up to bat. I totally panic. Last night was our first game and we slaughtered! The first inning we were 15! The end score was 19 to 9! Woot woot! Brandon even scored a homer! He's so dang hot! Watching him hit and watching those little Speedy Gonzalez legs go is awesome!
Today is going to be interesting. We take Sawyer into the surgeon at 3pm. We are going to see what he has to say and then go from there. We both don't want Sawyer to have surgery but if its necessary, what else can we do??
I have been wanting to post about last weekend for a few days but have been so busy I haven't been able to. I am going to do my best! These first pics are just random cute ones I love!
Last Friday night, we went with our friends Bryant and Liz to IRock {yes again! I love that place} and did some rock climbing. It was way fun. Here's some fun pics we took:
I swear we had more fun taking pictures than climbing! lol
Saturday, was quite interesting. Least the morning was. Brandon got up and changed Sawyer. We let him play around for a while until he got kinda tired. Brandon up him back in his bed to take a nap but wasn't sleepy cause we could hear him banging on his wall and saying "Mommy, Daddy, Nama, Gampa". So cute! Anyway, I went in to check on him and I could tell from the smell he had gone potty. I put him on the changing table and unzipped his jammies to find his onesie unbuttoned and NO DIAPER!! I called to Brandon that he forgot the diaper. He came running in and told me he had put one on. I felt down the leg of his jammies and there it was! Apparently, the flaps on the diaper weren't sticking well but he ignored it. He had poopy and pee all over in his jammies. I told Brandon he got to change him and I would get the bath ready! It was pretty funny.
I also went and got my toe nails done and love them! I love the Glitter Toes! My friend Camie did them and she did an awesome job!
Later Saturday night, we went down to our cousin Jordan's wedding! What a gorgeous wedding it was and man did she look amazing! The reception hall was beautiful! They had a bunch of yummy desserts and we helped ourselves! I had 4 eclairs!! Kill me! Yes, I am going to work out EXTRA hard all week! Sawyer ate a lot of the desserts too and I have to say I will never feed him that much sugar ever again!! He was sooooo hyper! It was hysterical! He was just a little nut running around everywhere. He had fun though! He crashed pretty hard that night. Lil stink!
Sunday, we headed to Provo to watch our nephew be ordained a teacher. I can't believe he is already 16. Man times flies. We let Sawyer go to church with my mom and she said he did really good. Thank goodness! After the ordination we went to Golden Corral. See another reason I need to work out extra hard this week! I made sure I at least ate a big salad with everything healthy on it. Least I got in something decent! Also, I was able to love on my little nephew Braxton who just turned one on Saturday! I don't get to see him very much so I took the opportunity to love on him the whole time we were with him! He is such a cutie!
Later that night, I made that delicious meal I posted about earlier then we watched Atlantis with Sawyer. He actually watched it for a while. Then he got kinda bored and started to play around. He's so funny cause now when I put him to bed I have a little flashlight that I shine on the animals on his wall to have him tell me what they are then I tickle him to sleep. He is sooo dang smart! He knows so many animals, he can count to 2 {I know its not high but still}, knows what a bunch of fruit are, air plane, car, animals, bath, potty, and a bunch of other things. It blows me away how smart he is. Everything I say he mimics! He's like a little parrot! And I swear he can figure out how to open anything {especially things he shouldn't be opening}. It just amazes me how much children learn at such a young age. He is about a week away from being 18 months old. I can't believe it. I am excited to see how much he's grown too!
An update on his reflux: He's doing better. Vomiting has definitely gotten better as has his eating! Woohoo! Its not completely gone which I didn't expect but its getting better! Woot!
Friday was an interesting day to say the least! We went to my mother-in-law's dad's funeral and ended up leaving early. I am now thinking Sawyer does not like funerals. We were listening to the talks and Sawyer had been coughing a lot all morning. Well, he started coughing really bad, hard enough that he threw up.... in Brandon's hands! Picture it if you will, sitting in the front few rows, surrounded by people land having your child puke in your husbands hands. It was pretty horrible. I grabbed some baby wipes and tried to clean Brandon up when Sawyer started coughing heavily again. I grabbed him and started to run out the door but was not quick enough. He puked ALL OVER. All over him and all over me. I was so mortified. A guy told me I could go into the nursery cause there was a bathroom in it so I ran in there and tried to clean the two of us up. Of course I was stupid and didn't bring him any extra clothes even though I had thought about it. Should have listened to my instincts. I'm an idiot... moving on. I fortunately had brought some extra clothes for me cause we were going out later so I wanted to change. I was able to take off the pukey shirt and put on another one but the puke was still all over. On my skirt, on my leggings, bra, and garments. Ugh. Brandon just wanted me to change and we could keep Sawyer bundled up but there was no way I was staying there cover in puke with my baby in a pukey onesie. So I took Sawyer and we headed to my moms. I washed our clothes and took a shower while Sawyer slept. I felt so horrible. I wanted to be there for my mother-in-law but there was nothing I could do. Sigh. The rest of the day was ok after that. He even ate semi decent which was wonderful. We got a call from his doctor and she said from the x-rays everything looked normal. Whew! That was wonderful to hear. I told her that he was still coughing a lot and puked and she told me to watch him for the next week and call her with how he does. When he woke up today he had a fever and a runny nose. Great! lol Poor kid.
My mom won tickets on the radio to see Monster Jam at the ESA so we invited our friends Liz and Bryant to go with us. We went out to eat at the Olive Garden. We went to the one in West Valley, not even close to as good as the one in Layton. Everything seemed dry.... The Black Tie Mousse Cake was still wonderful as ever though!! That's all that really mattered! :) We started talking about the Monster Truck Jam and thought it would be funny if we dressed up kinda Hick-ish! We went to Walmart and got some Camo hats, shirts, and the boys got wife-beaters! hahaha. They wore the wife-beaters over their shirts. They looked ridiculous! It was perfect! The Monster Jam was pretty dang cool. I had never been to one but I loved it. After it was over we waited in line and had the drivers sign our shirts! Bryant wrote on his wife-beater I heart Grave Digger and drew the truck! It was hilarious! I drew an 8 pack of abs and pecks with green nipples on Brandon's shirt! It was awesome! All the drivers thought it was pretty hilarious too! The woman driver got to sign Brandon's breasts! lol How often do women get to sign men's breasts I mean really?! It was awesome! We had a lot of fun. It was a good Valentine's Activity!
So we were trying to look like hicks right, well one of the drivers was a definite hick! He was missing teeth and everything! We thought about blacking out our teeth to go with our ensambles but sure glad we didn't now! lol Might have gotten into a rumble! HA So for Valentine's Day, Brandon gave me my present early! We decided to not do any gifts this year {except I get to give him one cause I got it in January} so we could go on a trip instead but he got me a little something anyway. Sweet hubby!
He knows I love me some Diet Coke and roses! Such a sweetie!
since I posted so I decided to do some updating. I feel as though things have been very busy, but when I sit down and think about it.... it doesn't seem like we've done a whole lot. Sawyer has had some tummy issues, but I will spare the gruesome details. We aren't sure what exactly has caused him to have these particular issues. We haven't really changed anything in his diet other than we've been trying without much success to switch him over from formula to milk. I am wondering if he is lactose intolerant. Most of my family is. Poor kid. I hope that's not what it is but can't think of much else that it could be. He hasn't acted sick at all. Its weird. Other than that he is a busy busy boy! He is climbing on EVERYTHING. I left him for about 30 seconds and when I came back, he had climbed on a chair and was on top of our kitchen table! I nearly died. What if he would have fallen?! I hate to even think of that. He is so hilarious to watch. He is talking like a crazy person, mimics everything you say or do, loves teasing my dog Taya,is the most picky eater I have ever seen, knows some sign language, and is just a little ball of energy and fun! He keeps me running as long as he is awake! He is a hoot and a half! Brandon took me on a date and we saw Avatar. I was not looking forward to seeing it at all but I actually really enjoyed it. The 3D glasses left me with a headache but other than that it was a good show. I have been reading like a maniac lately too. I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse series and loved them. Then, Kelly gave me the House of Night books. I am on #2 and love it! I am almost done so I can start #3. She gave me a ton of other books to read to. I have got start reading faster or something cause I think I have 6 or 7 books to read in a month. Quite a bit for me. I made a goal to start exercising at least 30 minutes 5X a week. I have been doing it for just over a week and a half which isn't long but is amazing I am still doing it! Its great to work with my grandma cause after breakfast, Sawyer goes down for a nap {usually} and my grandma takes about an hour shower. That is the time go downstairs and run/walk on my treadmill while I read my book. Its been perfect! I have noticed my moods have improved, I have a more energy {not a ton but more} and I have been sleeping better {when Sawyer isn't walking up}. December was a hard month for me. I was having a really hard time with my father passing away. I was eating all the time whether I was hungry or not, I had no motivation to do anything, especially exercise. I probably gained about 8 pounds. That may not sound like a ton to some people but for me that was awful. Devastating in fact. When I put on weight it affects a lot of things, especially my relationship with my husband. I feel fat, hideous, and undesirable. I decided I wasn't going to let myself keep going down that depressing road. I made myself a promise to exercise at least 30 minutes which really isn't that much. I am now going to start doing P90X Ab Ripper every Tuesday and Thursday and see if I can get 'beach ready'. Wish me luck!! Here are some cute pics of Sawyer I wanted to post. He's getting so big!
Max and Kelly bought a new toy! A Range Rzr Turbo Silver....
It was so nice to ride in and a lot easier to take Sawyer on rides! We just strapped his car seat into the front passenger seat and he was good to go! He loved the rides! Even fell asleep a few times, which amazes me cause the ride was kinda rough. It was a nice weekend tho. Brandon and I took the Rzr on our own little ride {when I say little it was a 2 hour ride. I thought it was going to be a 30 minute ride but we got our communication messed up a bit!}. It was so nice to just be alone for a few hours. We went to Elizabeth Ridge and it was gorgeous! Wish I would have brought the camera. Brandon lost his phone twice so we had to search for it but we were able to find it thankfully.
Sunday night when we got home, we had to pick up Brandon's car from his parents so we headed to Kaysville and decided we wanted to go take a ride on the motorcycle. We dropped off the baby to my mom's {she was thrilled! She is having major with drawls from Sawyer!} and we headed up Weber canyon. We went Snow basin and made our way down to Huntsville where we stopped and ate at Chris's. It was a laid back place with some kind of eccentric people but the food was pretty good. After the meal, we made our way back home. Again it was nice to get out and just be alone with my hubby. We use to ALWAYS go for rides on his motorcycle so it was nice to take a ride like old times! Brought back good memories!
This week was kind of draining. Its been one of those weeks where just about anything made me cry. Women, you know what I'm taking about. I see a commercial and I cry, watch a movie and I cry, I sit back and watch how big my baby boy is getting and break down SOBBING! lol
There were some high points tho. Thursday Brandon and I were able to go out on a date. Woohoo! We went out for Chinese food, hit the DI, then went to the batting cages.
After the cages, we went and picked up our little rugrat put him to bed then we watched Taken. UGH horrible show! Made me sick to my stomach. I wouldn't recommend it. Gave me the creeps. It was nice to have some alone time with my hubby tho.
Today, we went to Aiden's 1st birthday party! It was so much fun! Got to watch him get all caked up and open all his awesome gifts! He made a good haul for a one year old!! Makes me so excited for Sawyer's party!! Its coming so quickly!
Such a cutie pattootie! Him and Sawyer are going to have some fun as they get older I think!
