Its Only Wednesday??

Its been a looooong week already. Had some serious trouble with gma on Tuesday. She was sick and she was sick EVERYWHERE. It was aweful. I usually do really good with poop and what not but hers..... I gagged everytime I entered the house! I felt so bad cause she was so confused and sick, worried, and embarrassed and I just didn't know how to help her. I have a lot of respect for CNA's and Nurses since I know they have to deal with that kind of stuff all the time. I just could never do it for a living. Iky. So, it was a rough day Tuesday.

I started a new book (not about vampires shocking huh?!) and the part I ended at was very grewsome so I had a really hard time sleeping last night. And then I was up at 4:30 am to exercise. I was so hoping to take a nap today while my gma was out to lunch and Sawyer was sleeping but the little stinker decided he didn't want to nap. I put him in his playpen and came down 10 minutes later thinking he would be asleep so I could rest downstairs with him and he was not in his playpen. I kinda freaked out for a second until I saw that he was over in the corner playing with random things. He had gotten out of the playpen all by himself! Little nut. I put him in again and sat in the room where he couldn't see me. He was whining and talking for a while then all the sudden he was quite. I peaked out to look at him and he was out again! He was coming towards Taya and once he saw me he threw himself on the floor and threw a fit. He knew he had been caught! I put him in there once last time (I sooo wanted him to sleep so I could too) and he did the same thing. Swung his little leg over the side and was straddling the playpen. I just sat there watching him trying so hard to stiffle my laugh cause if he saw that I was laughing he would think it was ok so I had to act stern. Hard to do but I pulled it off!! Now I am going to have to be in the room watching him to make sure he actually sleeps now. Great. Sigh. He is sooo lucky he is so darn cute!

Look at him looking sooo innocent.

Over the weekend we got our garden planted finally. Weeding our garden was quite a pain but we got it done. I wanted to get some sun so I put on one of my exercise shirts to get some sun. I didn't think I was going to be outside for very long so I didn't think I needed sunscreen. Oh man was I wrong! Got FRIED!!
OWIE!!! I haven't been that burned in aaages. Normally I am a huge advocate of sunscreen but for some reason I thought I could be out there with none and be fine. Learned my lesson!!! Still hurts.
Here are our delightful strawberries! They are so delicious and they are home grown which makes them sooo much better!

There are very few times that Sawyer ever falls asleep with me and thankfully Brandon caught a picture of him sleeping on me! I miss the days he would fall asleep on me. Thank goodness for cameras!I will always love this pic of him and I (even though I am an ugly sleeper). He is just so precious!

On another note we saw 2 movies this weekend. Prince Of Persia which I LOVED and Killers which was a dissappointment. I was hoping for lots more. Sad really.

The past two weeks have been quite interesting. Last week with Sawyer's doctor appointments and this week all of us have been sick. When one gets sick, everyone does! We are all starting to get over our nasty colds though which is great. Still a little congested but overall better.
I called Sawyer's GI specialists again on Wed. and told her we needed to try something different since the medication she put him on was not helping. She recommended an over the counter drug called Pepsid Complete. We have been giving him it for two nights and he has slept through the night without any reflux or vomiting! I woke up and had to go check on him to make sure he was still breathing! Its crazy how one full night of actual sleep makes you worry that your baby is not breathing. Along with giving him the Pepsid, we have stopped giving him any food past 7:30 pm. Not even a baba. Its been kind difficult cause he is very use to a baba at night and he doesn't eat much during the day so he seems to get very hungry at night. Its seemed to be helping him sleep though. Now if we can just get him to start eating more....
Saturday I am hostessing our Lee family party and am a nervous wreck! I never feel like my house is 'good enough' for my family. All my families houses are so well decorated and quite a bit larger than mine. Yes I know they are older and have had to work to get these nice things, it just makes me feel a little intimidated. So I have been buying a few things to help spruce up my little home. I know it really shouldn't matter. I just want people to like my house. Is that so wrong? I am glad we are getting together. Its what my dad always wanted, to keep us all close and I want to carry on his wishes. Even if I have to hostess every single family get together!
Onto a different subject: Brandon started one of those in house garden-starter kit things and already we have plants growing! He planted them only about a week and a half ago and they are taking off like crazy! We are thinking we are going to have to move some of the beans out into a bigger pot cause they are just cruizin! Makes me so excited for spring! I am also going to grow some of my own herbs I have decided! Gardening is kind of a pain to start but reaping what you have sown is so wonderful!
Just looked outside and its snowing. What the crap?! Where is the sun? I am ready for spring to come.

Green Thumb

Cantaloupe

Zucchini

Yellow Squash
Cucumber

Tomatoes
Green Bell Pepper
Spicy Pepper {can't remember which oops}
Watermelon
Butternut Squash
Aren't they all so lovely?! They are all doing so well! Most of them are a little late but we planted pretty late in the season. I love having my own garden! This has saved us tons of money! We eat a lot of zucchini and squashes and they are so expensive now. I am going to make salsa and probably some spaghetti sauce with the tomatoes and peppers! I can't wait to bite into our juicy watermelons and cantaloupes! Ahhhh, makes my mouth water thinking about it! I have been going out every night and watering the garden by hand and it has been such a stress release for me. The smell of the tomatoes chases away the worries of my day. Being out there looking over my garden has given me a sense of pride. Every time I see a vegetable get bigger or start blooming, I feel like I have accomplished something wonderful. Gardens are so wonderful and therapeutic!
