Things have been crazy lately! Harper and Taln are almost 7 months old and are sitting my themselves and Taln is trying to crawl. SCARY! lol Harper still throws the biggest fit whenever she is on her tummy but I am trying to force her to do tummy time still. They have been eating solid food for a few weeks now and Taln eats just about everything! He is my good eater aka The Tank! He has gained some pretty good weight the last few weeks! Harper is very very very picky. She will eat something one day then the next she wont eat it. It drives me crazy since she is so petite and little she needs to eat more.
Had the worst thing happen yesterday. Taln fell off of my bed. Landing on our heating vent on his head. OMG I was sick to my stomach when I heard that thud. I had put him and Harper on my bed so I could take Sawyer to the potty and I even thought "Maybe I should put them in their cribs" but thought I would only be a minute and they would be fine. Should have listened to that voice in my head. Guess I know better now. When Sawyer was a baby I never left him on my bed. I had heard too many horror stories about babies falling off the bed. Never thought it would happen to my kids. Taln just pushed himself backwards until he fell off. It was so sad. He was screaming, Harper was screaming, and Sawyer was hanging on me trying to get my attention. That's when I wish I had 6 sets of hands!
Sawyer is absolutely hysterical! The way he plays with his toys is so entertaining to watch! He has been such a good little helper too. He did give me a run for my money the other day though. Went to Hobby Lobby to get some things for his bedroom and he ran off from me. I couldn't just run after him cause I had the babies too. It took me 15 minutes to get him back. I was ready to be one of those parents who beat their child in the store! lol I gave him time out and told him that he cant run away from Mommy or Daddy like that cause someone could take him away and hurt him. Apparently I made an impression on him cause when Brandon got home he told Daddy he was naughty and ran away from mommy at the store! When your child runs away from you out of your sight it is the most sickening feeling ever. Ugh. Can't wait for the twins to get big enough to do that! <--- sarcasm.
I needed to go to the store and I tried to see if my neighbors would watch Sawyer so I could run but they were both busy. I ended up taking him and found a way to keep him close to me. I let him push the cart and put the groceries in the cart! He did really well! And it was a huge help cause I had the babies in the stroller so he pushed the cart while I pushed the stroller! He thought he was pretty hot stuff pushing the cart too! He almost took several people out but it was funny and he did pretty well.
Last night, Brandon and I went on a date with some friends we haven't seen for several months. We ate at Cafe Rio (delish) then went to IRok in Ogden and did some rock climbing. My arms are sooo sore today! Loved it though. After we went to Subzero ice cream shop and tried that. Interesting. Wasn't a huge fan but it was ok. It was nice to be out and have some adult interaction! I don't get much of it.
Sawyer and I have been watching the Polar Express a lot lately and I am getting so excited for the Holidays! I want to put up my Christmas stuff right now! Sawyer wants to put up the tree cause in PE there is a huge tree. Thinking we might do that tomorrow! Thanksgiving is going to be fun too. Brandon's family is holding it this year so its going to be huge and crazy! My brother also has it off work so we'll hopefully do something with my mom too! I gotta start getting Christmas stuff ready too. Wanting to do some charity work again. Made last Christmas so much better! Oh I love the Holidays!!
