In-Laws New Toy

Max and Kelly bought a new toy! A Range Rzr Turbo Silver....

It was so nice to ride in and a lot easier to take Sawyer on rides! We just strapped his car seat into the front passenger seat and he was good to go! He loved the rides! Even fell asleep a few times, which amazes me cause the ride was kinda rough. It was a nice weekend tho. Brandon and I took the Rzr on our own little ride {when I say little it was a 2 hour ride. I thought it was going to be a 30 minute ride but we got our communication messed up a bit!}. It was so nice to just be alone for a few hours. We went to Elizabeth Ridge and it was gorgeous! Wish I would have brought the camera. Brandon lost his phone twice so we had to search for it but we were able to find it thankfully.

Sunday night when we got home, we had to pick up Brandon's car from his parents so we headed to Kaysville and decided we wanted to go take a ride on the motorcycle. We dropped off the baby to my mom's {she was thrilled! She is having major with drawls from Sawyer!} and we headed up Weber canyon. We went Snow basin and made our way down to Huntsville where we stopped and ate at Chris's. It was a laid back place with some kind of eccentric people but the food was pretty good. After the meal, we made our way back home. Again it was nice to get out and just be alone with my hubby. We use to ALWAYS go for rides on his motorcycle so it was nice to take a ride like old times! Brought back good memories!

Need A Little Advice Please

My cute little boy has gotten into a bad habbit recently and I am in desperate need of some advice on how to get him to stop his new attention getter. When he gets really upset now he starts to gag himself until he vomits!! How horrible is that?! I don't know what to do cause when he does vomit I run in there and clean him up cause I really can't just let him sit in his own puke right? But that just teaches him that if he does that than someone will come to his rescue. I don't know what to do to stop him from doing it. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Another question for some of you moms is when your baby turned 1 did you have a hard time? I don't know what my deal is but as of late I have been dying to get pregnant again!! I won't mind you cause we have a 'plan' to get pregnant next year but I can't help the feeling that I want another baby. I don't know if its cause Sawyer is almost 1 and getting bigger and out of that baby stage or maybe I am just crazy! I was watching a birthing channel yesterday {is that weird I love to watch that? The miracle of birth just amazes me!} and when the women had their babies I cried with them! I have been looking through Sawyer's baby pictures and remembering how tiny he once was, how amazing it felt to hold him next to my heart while he slept, and the complete and utter euphoria I felt when I held him while he nursed! I miss how dependant upon me he was. Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE this stage where he is learning like crazy and so dang fun to play with, but now he is becoming independant and he wants his dadda a lot more than me now. :0( I am so glad that he does and Brandon loves it too, but I miss him being tiny! Am I the only one who feels this way? Am I just nuts? I tried telling Brandon how I felt last night and he just kinda laughed at me. Men just don't get it! :0)

Brandon started his last semester of school yesterday. Ye-haw! I am so proud of him! He got a 4.0 GPA last semester! Woot woot! He had a huge project due and got an A+ so I put it on the fridge! lol He was the only one who did that well on that project! I'm such a proud Wifey!
This semester is going to be one of the most trying 3 months of our lives I'm thinkin. He is going to be gone a ton for school then he will be at work until late trying to make up time. Its going to be hard to not see him often but he is doing it for Sawyer and I. In the long run it will be so worth it. I am just going to have to keep reminding myself that it is only for 3 months. We can do it for 3 months.....! My friend Tia and I decided that since both of our men are going to be working and going to school we are just going to have to keep each other occupied! Least I won't be completely alone all the time! Its going to be tough but I'm proud of Brandon for going to school. He's an awesome husband and dadda!

On to some sad news, my poor baby is sick.... again. He's got a temperature, coughing, sneezing, and runny nose. We think he might have got it from one of his little friends but who knows how kids really get things right? His friend had croop so I am praying he doesn't get it. I made him some homemade chicken noodle soup {I swear this stuff is the best when you are sick} and have been trying to give him some juice to get some Vitamin C in him. Hopefully he starts to feel better the poor baby.
His birthday is in 15 more days and I can't wait! I am so excited! I've got most of the decorations and food organized so now I just need to get him his bday present(s). Its hard to just buy ONE gift! I want to get him everything! lol I'm so excited tho! Can't wait.

Past Week Catch-Up

This week was kind of draining. Its been one of those weeks where just about anything made me cry. Women, you know what I'm taking about. I see a commercial and I cry, watch a movie and I cry, I sit back and watch how big my baby boy is getting and break down SOBBING! lol

There were some high points tho. Thursday Brandon and I were able to go out on a date. Woohoo! We went out for Chinese food, hit the DI, then went to the batting cages.

After the cages, we went and picked up our little rugrat put him to bed then we watched Taken. UGH horrible show! Made me sick to my stomach. I wouldn't recommend it. Gave me the creeps. It was nice to have some alone time with my hubby tho.

Today, we went to Aiden's 1st birthday party! It was so much fun! Got to watch him get all caked up and open all his awesome gifts! He made a good haul for a one year old!! Makes me so excited for Sawyer's party!! Its coming so quickly!

Grandpa's Company Party

We headed down to Marysvale this weekend for Grandpa's company party. It was a good time. Did some riding, visiting with family, and even got some sleep and relaxing in too! Here are some pics.

Wardies

Last Wednesday, I had a 7th Ward reunion! It was so much fun getting to see everyone again. Some people I haven't seen for 10 years! Nuts! I'm so glad we were able to get together. Caroline did an awesome job planning it! We had great food, talked, and looked at old pictures which was a riot! It was a grand Ol time!

Awesome Weekend

We had a great weekend. It all started Friday afternoon. Brandon called and told me he could get Cirque Du Soleil tickets, row 5 on the floor at the E Center if I wanted to go. My brother told me all about Cirque Du Soleil and I have wanted to go since so I was so thrilled he told me he'd take me! We went and it was AMAZING. The things these people did were insane! They didn't allow flash photography {such a bummer} so I googled some pics..... I am so glad I went! I loved it! Best show ever! We got home around 6:30 and decided we wanted to go to a drive in movie. We went with Dan and Tia and brought the baby. He did so good at his first drive in! Fell asleep really well thankfully. We saw G.I Joe. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. Not a bad show but not great.

The next morning I went and got my hair done for the first time in ages it seems! It was to that point it wouldn't do a darn thing. All I ever did was throw it up in an ugly ponytail and call it good. Here is the before hair....

Horrible isn't it. This photo didn't do it justice. I had roots about 6 inches long, split ends, and my hair was just blah.

We had Dan and Tia and Jeff and Aiden over for dinner Saturday night and it was so fun to watch the two boys play! They were so dang cute together!!

They had kind of a hard time sharing with one another but they did really good playing for the most part. Such cute boys!
Today my baby is 11 months old! Somebody kill me now! Where has the time gone? I almost have a ONE year old! That is just nuts. Makes me kinda cry when I think about it. He's not a baby anymore really!! He's becoming more and more independent and so big! I can't wait for his 1st birthday party tho! I have been planning it since he was about 6 months old! lol I'm weird I know! It's exciting!

Aren't they all so lovely?! They are all doing so well! Most of them are a little late but we planted pretty late in the season. I love having my own garden! This has saved us tons of money! We eat a lot of zucchini and squashes and they are so expensive now. I am going to make salsa and probably some spaghetti sauce with the tomatoes and peppers! I can't wait to bite into our juicy watermelons and cantaloupes! Ahhhh, makes my mouth water thinking about it! I have been going out every night and watering the garden by hand and it has been such a stress release for me. The smell of the tomatoes chases away the worries of my day. Being out there looking over my garden has given me a sense of pride. Every time I see a vegetable get bigger or start blooming, I feel like I have accomplished something wonderful. Gardens are so wonderful and therapeutic!
