Eye
Yesterday, Brandon and I were trying to have Sawyer walk between us and he fell and my fingernail went in his eye. It was so horrible. He wouldn't open his eye for 15 minutes and he just sobbed. I felt so awful. Once he calmed down, I put him in his high chair and started feeding him and Brandon noticed there was something wrong with his eye. I looked at it and it kinda looked like a hair was on it. After a few minutes of watching it we realized it wasn't a hair it was scratched. We called the dr and they put some drops in his eye and put a black light over his eye. It looked like he had a cat eye. The scratches were bad but they said to give him an antibiotic and it should heal up quick with no lasting damage. Thankfully. I was so heartbroken. It was a total accident that I hurt him but I felt like a terrible mom. When I had to put the drops in his eyes this morning, I had to hold him down and I cried. I'm sure this will plague me for a while. You just feel awful when your baby is hurt and 10X worse when it was you that did it. :0( I am glad that he is ok and doing better this morning though. Love him.

Oh no! I'm glad he's okay and that it should heal just fine. I know how scary that can be and even though you know it wasn't your fault at all, you still feel guilty.
I once had an ulcer (tear) in my eye from wearing contacts too long and it hurt so badly I cried non-stop. I also had to keep my pupil dilated with drops for a few days and had to stay in a dark room etc. It was pretty bad, but I'm lucky it only gave me astigmatism how it healed and it didn't damage my vision otherwise.
