I just have a lot of things I want to write about today. This blog has become my journal which is kinda sad but at least I am keeping some sort of journal of our happenings right?
The week before Halloween, I went to my mom's and we made homemade applesauce. It was a long tedious process but the end results were delicious!
When we carved pumpkins this year I decided to keep the seeds and make roasted pumpkin seeds and I love em! Plus, they have a lot of nutritional value!
I've been taking Sawyer outside everyday for at least an hour so he can explore and he loves dirt! He is all boy! I bought him some winter boots yesterday and had him put them on and he screamed at me when I wanted to take them off! It was hilarious! I have noticed that since I have become a mom I have super woman relexes! Sawyer was playing on some cement stairs and fell over backwards and I caught him right before his head hit the cement. It was AMAZING! I was like 2 feet away too!
We have been quite stressed over Sawyer laterly. He had a really bad cough for about a month and a half and we could not figure out what was wrong with him. He also was vomiting at LEAST 3X a day. He is almost 14 months old and still isn't over 20 lbs. Course when he is vomiting that much how can he gain weight? We tried a humidifier, allergy medication and finally we took him to the doctor. The doctor said that his symptoms sounded like Reflux. He checked his ears and he has more ear infections too. The dr. perscribed some antibiotics and some reflux medicine. He's been on it for almost a week and has been doing soooo much better! I never would have thought the reason for his horrible cough was his reflux. Learn something new everyday!
My mom's birthday was on the 1st and we celebrated by having dinner, cupcakes, and playing some games. I will post some pics when I get them uploaded. Today she is going in for surgery on her shoulder. She is terrified. We keep reassuring her everything will be ok but you know how it goes. Surgery is a scary thing. So if you remember, keep her in your prayers.
I am getting so excited for the holidays! I am trying to make fun plans, look up delicious recipes, and get into the holiday spirit. I am almost ready to turn on Christmas music! The holidays are just such a wonderful and joyful time of year. Having our little boy seems to make them that much more fun!
Tonight, Tia and I are going to make my favorite dessert! The look a like of Olive Garden's Black Tie Mousse Cake! Can't wait!!!

That's good you found out what was wrong with him and that it can be fixed with medicine! I also know what you mean about the supermom reflexes. You can move like lightening when your baby falling! Your dessert sounds so yummy!
If your dessert turns out great I want the recipe asap! so glad to hear sawyer is doing better!
I told you that his signs all led me to believe he had reflux. Wish you would have come and got that OTC meds to try for him a long time ago. so glad he is doing better. Poor baby! Now high protein add so he can gain some weight. It really works! Have fun making yummy cake.
